The seasons changing in Michigan provide artists with endless inspiration for expression and interpretations in art. From the gentle pastels of spring to the brilliant autumn colors, Michigan’s natural beauty captures our attention and admiration.
Maureen Reed paints watercolors to reflect observations from the natural world. For every day spent roaming the countryside or walking along the banks of a favorite river, impressions come forward to be expressed onto paper.
The combination of paper, paints, water and elements lend themselves to an exciting spontaneity with interesting results. As with the changing of the seasons, Maureen’s paintings evoke feelings of movement and rhythm within the composition. Watercolors provide a perfect medium for painting outdoors.
