EastEnd Studio and Gallery layaway policy

To our customers that would like an item reserved to purchase at a later time, we offer the option to place an item on layaway at no additional cost. We reserve the right to display the item in the gallery until it is paid in full and picked up by the customer.

To place an item on layaway, we must receive 25% payment at the time the item is reserved. This is a nonrefundable down payment on the piece of artwork. The piece must be paid off no more than four months after it has been placed on layaway. Management will call to remind customers periodically what has been placed on layaway and what the balance for the items is.

If artwork has not been paid in full after the four-month period, the amount paid on the item will be forfeited and paid out to the artist unless a special arrangement has been made with EastEnd.

These policies are in place to help protect the artists. For many artists we represent, their art is their livelihood, and they need to receive payment on the work they do. If artwork has been placed on layaway for an extended period, that artist may have missed opportunities to make a sale and receive a full commission on the piece. We are a non-profit that seeks to help artists make money with their work, but we also work with customers based on what is convenient for them. That is why we have set these policies in place.
