Introduction figure Drawing
Even if you think you can’t draw, you can be successful in this drawing class. We will use a live model (clothed) and do some beginning sketches to learn about drawing the proportions of the body. In the first class, we will learn to do quick gesture drawings that show the body from different angles. These are not detailed drawings, but rather introductory sketching techniques. In the second class, we will build on what was learned in the first class to do more detailed sketches. Drawings will be done in pencil and charcoal. All supplies included.
Think spring! Come learn some basic watercolor techniques and learn to paint a simple floral design in watercolor with instructor Maureen Reed. All supplies included.
Art of Relaxation - Yoga and art
Eastend is going to begin to offer Yoga classes. As a kick off we are offering a special class that combines art and yoga. Come and feel centered and relaxed after doing beginner yoga with Erin Madden. Then we will use ceramic clay to hand build a small vessel. Clay is a relaxing, tactile medium. The first day we will do yoga then create our ceramics. The second class is optional. We will do yoga then glaze our ceramic creations. Come and relax your mind and body.
